Kayaks, Canoes, Paddle Boards

Mark your calendars for the 16th annual Terra Ceia Island Poker Regatta on Saturday, May 4, 2019 for a great day of paddling, food, camaraderie and prizes!   Kayaks, Canoes and Paddle Boards are all welcome!

Check-in for the Regatta is from 8:00 – 9:00 AM at Sea Breeze Park.  The paddle begins at 9:30 AM after the Captain’s meeting.  There are two routes to choose from.  Both routes navigate you back to Seabreeze Park where you will receive the final card for your poker hand, enjoy a lunch prepared by our volunteers and possibly win one of several prizes.
A few important notes about the 2019 Terra Ceia Island Poker Regatta:

 Please submit your registration and fee by Friday, April 26, 2019 to ensure we have plenty of hats, food and beverages for everyone.

  • There will be kayaks available to rent (not included in the event fee) should they be needed.  Please respond if you will need a rental so we can put you in touch with the company providing the kayaks.
  • Tickets for a 50/50 raffle and Terra Ceia branded items will be available for sale the day of the event.

 The 2019 registration information is below.  Please feel free to share it with family and friends!  We will be sending additional emails about the regatta closer to the event date.

Please join us for our 16th Annual Terra Ceia Island Poker Regatta. All levels of paddlers welcome! Paddle your kayak, canoe or paddleboard through shady mangrove tunnels and open water with stunning views to designated card pick up points (there are two routes to choose from). Both routes bring you back to the park at the end of the paddle where you will pick up your last card, enjoy a delicious meal and possibly win one of several prizes! There will be tickets for a 50/50 raffle and Terra Ceia Island branded items available for purchase.

ENTRY FEE: $35.00 PER HAND

Entry fee includes: hat, meal ticket, beverages, map of the routes and a chance to win a variety of prizes.

LOCATION: 55 Horseshoe Loop Rd., Terra Ceia, FL 34250

(Turn onto Bayshore Drive at the Marathon gas station off US 19 and follow signs to the Regatta)

PADDLE CRAFT RENTALS: Are available from third-parties and are not included in the entry fee. We can provide information on the companies that have provided rentals for past regattas; however, reservations are the responsibility of the paddler.

REGISTRATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY FRIDAY, APRIL 26, 2019

There are two registration methods available: (1) mail a check made payable to V.I.A., PO Box 135, Terra Ceia, FL 34250 (The V.I.A is the Village Improvement Association for Terra Ceia Island) or (2) send your payment via PayPal by selecting the “Send money to friends and family” option (to avoid fees) and entering the email address of mpneitzke@gmail.com. Please include the name of the paddler(s), email address and phone number with your payment.

You will receive an email confirmation once your registration is received. As the event date draws closer, we will send out emails with additional details.

Please include your name and your preferred method of communication on the registration form to ensure you are contacted with any changes due to inclement weather. Inclement weather date: May 5, 2019. The VIA assumes no liability for issues occurring on the water. The Regatta is a fundraising event for the VIA, and as such, no refunds will be offered if rescheduled due to inclement weather.
